Gary T. Stone, Missionary/Author

Gary Trenton Stone and his wife Lily Pascoe Stone have served for 23 years as International Mission Board missionaries on three continents. From 1979-1981 they lived and served in the eastern jungles of Ecuador in a town called Lago Agrio. After coming back to the U.S. in 1981, Gary earned the Master of Divinity degree (and later the Doctor of Ministry degree) from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. Afterward, Gary served as Pastor of West End Baptist Church in Hampton, South Carolina.

In 1987, Gary & Lily were appointed as Career Missionaries by the IMB and served in the Outback of Australia in the town of Katherine, Northern Territory. In 1991, they completed their assignment in Australia and transferred to Guatemala to work with a Mayan Indigenous people group called the Tajumulco Mam.

Today, they still live and serve in Guatemala. Gary now serves as the Field Strategy Leader for all IMB Indigenous work in Central America and Panama. Gary is the author of the book What If Everyone Lived Next Door to JESUS? And Other Meditations from a Missionary's Heart, published by Hannibal Books. I have not finished the book yet, but the stories are fascinating. You will find reflections based on true Christianism. This book contains great stories where people are tested by God. while reading this book you will realize that Jesus is really living next door to you as your neighbor, boss, the mailman, or even your family. Doing the good to other people is doing the good to Jesus.
Thanks Dr. Stone
God bless you
